Trump Claims He Has Not Read ‘Total Waste of Time’ Mueller Report”

"I have not read the Mueller Report yet, even though I have every right to do so", Trump wrote on Twitter. Trump's Sunday morning tweet was apparently referring to such reports as well as the members of Mueller's team who reportedly spoke to the media.

The Department of Justice said in its response to a transparency group's Freedom of Information Act complaint that the court shouldn't "circumvent this orderly process" of Attorney General William Barr's plan to release a redacted version of the report in the coming weeks.

But news media reports this week said members of Mueller's team were unhappy with the way Barr, a Trump appointee, had characterised the report's conclusions.

Barr has faced criticism since penning his letter that he unduly sanitized the full report in Trump's favor, including on the key question of whether the president obstructed justice.

Barr added, however, that the Mueller findings also did not let Trump and his team off the hook, according to multiple reports.

Missouri golfer Yuen finishes 72nd at Augusta Women's Amateur
Fassi, who started one shot behind, took her first lead with a pitch over the mounds to 2 feet for birdie on the par-5 eighth. Her 4-under 140 is one shot back of the leader and Fassi is one of just four players who were under par in both rounds.

US President Donald Trump claims he's been cleared of "collusion" by the Mueller report.

The Democrat-led House Judiciary Committee this week prepared to subpoena the full report, a move Barr and the White House will nearly certainly contest.

He told Congress in a letter last week he must redact material that was presented to a grand jury, as required by law, as well as information that could reveal USA intelligence agencies' sources and methods.

In June 2018, with Sessions's job already known to be imperilled, Barr sent an unsolicited legal memo to the Justice Department and White House strongly criticising the Mueller investigation and its impingement on the president's prerogatives.

Nadler indicated that he will not immediately issue the subpoenas, but rather attempt to use them as leverage over Barr and others to voluntarily provide the requested report and testify about it.

House Democrats have also asked the country's tax agency, the Internal Revenue Service, to turn over the last six years of Trump's federal tax returns, which, breaking custom from previous presidents the last four decades, Trump has refused to disclose.

Concerns about possible conflicts of interest have simmered since Mr Trump moved into the White House in January 2017, along with lingering questions from his presidential campaign about his net worth, tax profile and past financial dealings.

"The requests for his private tax information are not consistent with governing law, do not advance any proper legislative goal, and threaten to interfere with the ordinary conduct of audits", Mr Consovoy said.

Mulvaney said Democrats will never see Trump's tax returns, "nor should they".
