Mueller sends his ‘Russiagate’ report to USA attorney general for review

Mueller sends his ‘Russiagate’ report to USA attorney general for review”

"The next steps are up to Attorney General Barr, and we look forward to the process taking its course", a White House statement read.

Special counsel Robert Mueller concludes his investigation into Russian election interference and potential coordination with the Trump campaign; reaction and analysis from Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume.

Mr Barr, a Trump appointee confirmed by the Senate in February, told lawmakers he may be able to provide information to Congress on the report's findings as soon as this weekend.

Donald Trump Leaves for Mar-a-Lago Amidst Mueller Report Rumors

That appointment followed the president's decision to fire James Comey as director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Just this month, a unanimous, bipartisan House of Representatives called for the report to be public.

For their part, Trump's lawyers say they are "pleased" Mueller has delivered his report.

What exactly was Mueller investigating again? .

Valtteri Bottas in foul-mouthed tirade after proving doubters wrong
Bottas ended an answer in the post-race press conference to ensure he paid tribute to the popular and respected 66-year-old. Hopefully we can hold position and make up some ground at the start.

The last president to be impeached by the House, Democrat Bill Clinton, was acquitted by the Senate in 1999 on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice, meaning he was not removed from office. But the president has grown increasingly confident the report will produce what he has insisted all along: no clear evidence of a conspiracy between Russian Federation and his 2016 campaign.

President Trump urged the Attorney General Thursday to publicly release the special counsel's findings; saying "let it come out" and allow the American people to "see it". Federal prosecutors, also in NY, have been investigating foreign contributions made to the president's inaugural committee. Is it because Mueller has concluded that the US president can't be indicted while in office? "It's always interesting to me because a deputy, that didn't get any votes, appoints a man that didn't get any votes, he's going to write a report on me", he said, referring to Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein and Mueller.

Democrats control the House and some already have pledged to subpoena the report and Mueller and go to court if necessary to secure its full release.

Trump slams handling of Brexit by UK's May
But Mrs May left no doubt that she opposes a lengthy delay, telling MPs: "I do not think that would be the right outcome". May has given lawmakers in her party a free vote and investors expect parliament will vote against a no-deal Brexit .

UPDATE, 5:11 p.m. CDT: Mueller is not recommending any further indictments in connection with the now-completed Russian Federation investigation.

"It's all a big hoax", Trump said on Friday.

It's not clear how much of the report will become public.
