Insulted Republican Sues Twitter for $250M”

Republican congressman Devin Nunes announced he will file a $250 million lawsuit against Twitter for its alleged "explicit censorship" of conservatives.

Incidentally, there are also now parody accounts called Devin Nunes' Cock, Devin Nunes' Left Nut, Devin Nunes' Spine, and Devin Nunes' Alt-Mom which were not named in the suit.

"Shadow-banning" is when a social media platform narrows the scope of someone's reach or bans them but allows them to operate normally, but does not allow anyone else to see their posts. Twitter has denied doing it, although some political conservatives -including President Donald Trump - remain unconvinced.

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) seeks a $250m payout from the micro-blogging site, and three tweeters who lampooned him in recent years.

United Kingdom lawmakers to vote on fresh referendum
And fourth , they will vote on a bid by Labour MP Chris Bryant to BLOCK Theresa May from holding a third vote on her Brexit deal. If a longer extension was sought, that would mean taking part in the elections, something likely to fuel Eurosceptic anger.

The Twitter account, which has since been disabled, posted missives like: "Devin might be a unscrupulous, craven, back-stabbing, charlatan and traitor, but he's no Ted Cruz", according to the lawsuit.

Nunes' attorneys claim Twitter played a key role in slowing his 2018 reelection campaign after winning by much more robust margins in previous reelection bids.

A U.S. politician has accused Twitter and three of its users of running an "orchestrated defamation campaign" against him.

In suing these Twitter users, Nunes listed some of their tweets, thus ensuring thousands, if not millions, more people saw what the lawsuit characterized as "defamation".

Lakers Shutting Down Lonzo Ball For The Season
Ball injured his ankle at Houston , and the initial timetable for his recovery given by the team was four to six weeks. CJ McCollum scored 23 of his 35 points in the fourth quarter to lead Portland past host Los Angeles.

Nunes accused Twitter of "knowingly hosting and monetizing content that is clearly abusive, hateful and defamatory". The account also unfairly stated "he's udder-ly worthless and its pasture time to move him to prison", and falsely alleged that "Devin is whey over his head in crime ..."

"Twitter's use of its platform as a portal for defamation by political operatives and their clients runs contrary to every tenet of American Democracy, including the guarantees of both the First Amendment and Article I, § 12 of the Virginia Constitution", the suit claims.

The lawsuit claims Twitter spread "false and defamatory statements" about Nunes to influence the midterm elections; tried to "intimidate" the congressman, who is now a ranking member on the House Intelligence Committee; and sought to "interfere with his important investigation of corruption by the Clinton campaign and alleged Russian involvement in the 2016 Presidential Election", according to a copy of the suit obtained by Fox News. Others criticize Nunes' involvement in Russia-related investigations or cite Fresno Bee stories on a lawsuit filed against a winery that Nunes partly owns.

The lawsuit names a few defendants besides Twitter. But fear not, we will win anyway, just like we did before!' Trump tweeted.

Zuckerberg aims to merge Instagram, Whatsapp and Facebook messages
Zuckerberg said this is only the first step, as synchronizing the company's messaging apps could drive e-commerce opportunities. While this could work, it may also be the final straw for users who could turn to smaller encryption services like Signal.
