Where the investigations into U.S. President Donald Trump stand”

President Donald Trump has gone to "extraordinary lengths" to hide details of his meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Washington Post reported in a bombshell story late Saturday.

The Post's report comes as special counsel Robert Mueller continues to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 election - and whether there were any ties between the Kremlin and Trump campaign associates.

A separate source said Baker told investigators the internal FBI debate over the president's decision to fire Comey on May 9, 2017, included personnel who have since left the bureau for cause, retired, or have been demoted.

Appearing on CNN's New Day, Samantha Vinograd said that it was puzzling - or maybe not - why Trump would be hiding what transpired between the two leaders when they met in private with only interpreters on hand.

As you can imagine, more people are reading The Jerusalem Post than ever before.

Trump responded: "I think it's the most insulting thing I've ever been asked.the most insulting article I've ever had written & if you read the article, you'd see that they found absolutely nothing".

In 2018 Trump refused to impose sanctions on Russian Federation that were passed into law nearly unanimously previous year and was created to punish Moscow's alleged meddling in the 2016 USA election.

They discussed a range of options, including Rosenstein wearing a wire while speaking with Trump, which Rosenstein later denied.

"I'd like to get the notes of the meeting that the President had with Putin".

"I do think there is a legal aspect to whether the president meets one-on-one with Vladimir Putin any more", she explained.

"The liberal media has wasted two years trying to manufacture a fake collusion scandal instead of reporting the fact that unlike President Obama, who let Russian Federation and other foreign adversaries push America around, President Trump has actually been tough on Russian Federation".

"Wow, just learned in the Failing New York Times that the corrupt former leaders of the FBI, nearly all fired or forced to leave the agency for some very bad reasons, opened up an investigation on me, for no reason & with no proof, after I fired Lyin' James Comey, a total sleaze!", Trump tweeted.

Trump fired Comey on May 9, 2017, citing a letter from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein that sharply criticized Comey's handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation.

In the tweets, Trump insulted former FBI Director Comey, and claimed that the probe was a partisan bid to discredit him. The FBI also considered whether the Republican president's firing of Comey amounted to obstruction of justice.

Trump has repeatedly criticized the Mueller probe as a "witch hunt" and views it as an attempt to besmirch the legitimacy of his presidency. American intelligence agencies and Mueller have said Russian Federation was the source of hacked material released by WikiLeaks during the campaign that was damaging to Hillary Clinton's presidential effort.
