UK's Prince Philip, 97, has hospital check-up after road crash

UK's Prince Philip, 97, has hospital check-up after road crash”

According to new reports, Prince Philip was involved in a auto accident on Thursday just outside Queen Elizabeth's Sandringham estate in Norfolk.

Norfolk Police, who are investigating the crash, have said a passenger in the other vehicle suffered a broken wrist.

Buckingham Palace said Philip received a "precautionary checkup" at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn on Friday and was found to have "no injuries of concern".

The duke has also made contact with the driver and passenger of the other auto, who were injured, and "best wishes" have been exchanged. Prince Philip, 97, had been in a vehicle collision outside the Queen's Sandringham estate in east England.

According to the BBC, Buckingham Palace confirmed the crash involved another vehicle and police attended the scene.

Prince Philip's black Land Rover, which he was driving, was involved in a collision with a Kia at around 3pm on Thursday on the A149 at Sandringham.

Total lunar eclipse meets supermoon Sunday night
And if you can wait another two years after that, there's a North American total solar eclipse to look forward to in 2024. The Weather Network said the name was used by early almanac writers and is based on Indigenous folklore.

But we quickly learned, the prince - the Duke of Edinburgh and husband of the queen - had walked away from wreck.

Witnesses told media the accident had occurred when Philip was pulling out of a driveway onto a main road.

A biography of the Duke by Basil Boothroyd, published in 1971, notes that Prince Philip has often been accused of being a less-than-steady driver. The women were treated at a nearby hospital and discharged.

"I suspect his children and grandchildren will chime in and say 'look, come on pa, this is enough".

Roy Warne said he was driving home when saw the auto roll and end up on the other side of the road.

The duke retired from official duties in 2017, after more than 22,000 solo engagements before the public.

Huawei reportedly under investigation by USA for stealing trade secrets
She is awaiting extradition hearings to the US while living under restrictions in her million-dollar Vancouver home. According to T-Mobile's lawsuit, Huawei employees photographed the robot and attempted to remove one of its parts.

The royal couple have been staying at the estate since Christmas.

Warne added, "He was obviously shaken and then he went and asked if everyone else [in the other car] was alright".

By coincidence, Norfolk County Council is scheduled to meet on Friday to discuss plans to reduce the speed limit on the road from 60mph to 50mph and install safety cameras.

Currently, British drivers have to reapply for their licence at the age of 70, and every three years thereafter, by self-certifying their sight is good enough to read a numberplate at 20 metres, and that they have no medical condition that prevents them from driving.

One witness said Philip was lightly bleeding and appeared "very shocked" but was pulled from the wreck with the help of bystander Roy Warne.
