Beto O’Rourke Borrows 'Lyin' Ted' Insult As He Repeatedly Attacks Sen

Beto O’Rourke Borrows 'Lyin' Ted' Insult As He Repeatedly Attacks Sen”

O'Rourke responded by evoking a moniker President Donald Trump bestowed on the senator when the pair were bitter rivals during the 2016 Republican presidential primary, saying, "Senator Cruz is not going to be honest with you". Beto O'Rourke "wants higher taxes and far more regulations", the president tweeted Wednesday morning after watching the debate between Cruz and O'Rourke Tuesday.

Cruz's comment was a reference to O'Rourke's past comments that he supported impeaching Trump.

Ted Cruz is the butt of another joke, this time it's an ad aimed at the senator's appreciation for the fast food joint, White Castle, instead of Texas' Whataburger. "He's going to make up positions and votes that I've never held or have ever taken", O'Rourke said, "He's dishonest, it's why the president called him "Lyin" Ted, ' and it's why the nickname stuck - because it's true".

Cruz laughed off the exchange saying it was obvious that O'Rourke needed to attack to try and reverse polls that show him fading. Cruz has painted O'Rourke as too liberal for a deep-red state - out of touch with Texans on issues such as abortion and taxes.

Things We Learned From the Patriots Win Over the Chiefs
On one of the big plays, Gronk left cleat marks on Chiefs safety Ron Parker after stiff-arming him to the turf. The Chiefs (5-1) rallied from a 15-point halftime deficit to go up 33-30 with 8:38 remaining.

A poll average compiled by Real Clear Politics gave Cruz a lead of 7 percentage points, and a new CNN poll published on Tuesday gave Cruz a similar 7-point margin.

The Democrat's uphill campaign has attracted national attention and a flood of financial donations.

O'Rourke, who is giving up his El Paso congressional seat to challenge Cruz, shattered Senate fundraising records with any eye-popping $38-plus million in the three-month period through September.

When O'Rourke said he wanted to expand federally funded health care to more Americans, Cruz said the congressman agreed with Vermont Sen.

Ministers in revolt over May’s Brexit concessions
Earlier on Thursday, May told Northern Ireland journalists that Irish border talks would likely continue until November.

But Cruz has made headway by hammering O'Rourke as out of step with Texas voters because he backs a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, opposes building a wall along the U.S. Cruz said people of both sexes need to be protected from harassment and abuse, adding "we need to protect everyone's rights".

Coming to Texas for a rally will galvanize the Republican base, but Batheja said it will also remind voters about their "awkward history."Sen".

O'Rourke shot back: "It's really interesting to hear you talk about a partisan circus after your last six years in the U.S. Senate". Early on, O'Rourke accused Cruz of not being able to stand up to the president for Texans, while Cruz went on to dismiss the idea O'Rourke would be able to work with the president after expressing support for his impeachment.

Cruz will get help next week when Trump will be top billing at a Houston campaign rally for Cruz and other Texas Republicans. "You are all talk and no action".
