Feinstein Refers Confidential Document On Kavanaugh To FBI”

Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein stunned her Congressional colleagues Thursday; publicly stating she sent a mysterious letter to the Federal Bureau of Investigation regarding Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation hearing.

Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee voted Thursday to hold a committee vote on the Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh at a specific time, 1:45 p.m., on September 20.

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh testifies before the Senate Judiciary Committee on the third day of his confirmation hearing on Capitol Hill Sept. 6.

"The letter took a circuitous route to Feinstein", noted Grim, who reported that the document was "relayed to someone affiliated with Stanford University, who authored the letter and sent it to Rep. Anna Eshoo, a Democrat who represents the area". According to the report, the letter refers to an incident involving Kavanaugh and a young woman while they were in high school.

White House spokeswoman Kerri Kupec did not outright deny the allegations against Kavanaugh but blasted Democrats for introducing them so late in the game.

Kavanaugh, a conservative federal appeals court judge nominated by Trump to the lifetime position on the high court, made no major missteps in two days of questioning by senators during his confirmation hearing last week.

Trump aide Papadopoulos gets 14 days in prison
The FBI canceled the meeting when it discovered that Papadopoulos had sat down for a media interview about the case. The lawyers argued Papadopoulos lied as he was influenced by the President's aggressive sentiments on the probe.

Feinstein is closely guarding it, refusing to share it even with her fellow Judiciary Committee Democrats.

White House spokesman Raj Shah said, "Despite the endless complaints from critics, the committee has received more material regarding Judge Kavanaugh's nomination than any nominee in history".

"There's no plan to change the committee's consideration of Judge Kavanaugh's nomination", Hartmann said in a statement.

President Donald Trump's nominee for the court is the first with a lengthy email trail.

Attorney Debra Katz is believed to be representing the woman who is the subject of the letter, though she did not confirm that to The Intercept.

"Not until the eve of his confirmation has Senator Feinstein or anyone raised the spectre of new "information" about him".

What We Think Apple Has In Store For the iPhone
The iPhone XS is Apple's newest flagship smartphone, expected to be announced at a September 12 event in Cupertino, CA. The company has remained coy about the release date, specs, pricing and just about everything else.

Separately, Grassley's spokesperson George Hartmann told ABC News that Grassley is "respecting the request for confidentiality".

Numerous protesters had interrupted the hearings and Kavanaugh said he didn't know who Guttenberg was as he approached him.

The Judiciary committee is slated to vote on Kavanaugh's confirmation Thursday, which will be followed by a vote on the Senate floor.

Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley of Iowa said there was precedent for invoking executive privilege, that President Reagan invoked it on the nomination of Justice William Rehnquist to be chief justice. The White House blasted the ambiguous charge as a last minute gambit.

Several moderate senators in both parties remain undecided and their votes on Kavanaugh will make or break whether he gets confirmed later this month.
