Israel says open-fire rules for Gaza unchanged for new protests

Mr Johar leaned on crutches as he waited outside the Palestinian Production Bank in Gaza City to collect the money.

More popular among migrant-friendly Israelis was another possibility that would offer vocational training as an incentive to get migrants out of Tel Aviv's "Little Africa" enclave and prepare them for work in a third country.

Asaad abu Sharkh, a spokesman and member of the organizing committee of the protests, also said better attempts will be made on Friday to keep Gazans from approaching the fence. "Together we defend our Jerusalem and together we free our Palestine", read the message on the back of the Hamas cheques.

He said the Israeli defense minister's latest comments should be seen as "more evidence of a war crime he (Lieberman) committed in Gaza last Friday".

Congresswoman Lee Marks 50th Anniversary of Dr. King's Assassination
But during his lifetime he was seen as a controversial figure and considered by the USA government to be a unsafe agitator. "Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr ., appeared on CBC's Front Page Challenge in 1959. 50 years ago on this date, April 4, remains vivid.

Israel's military has also reserved the right to spray herbicides along the frontier, destroying crops on the Gazan side of the fence. The people of Gaza are suffering from an enormous humanitarian crisis and now, when they tried to protest against it, they were met with brutal force which killed 16 of them and injured and maimed many others.

Israel has defended its actions by saying the marches are planned by Hamas, which is sworn to Israel's destruction.

Critics say the closure policy has backfired by largely harming Gaza civilians, while leaving Hamas solidly in control. The military said that during the protests its troops had used live fire only against people trying to sabotage the border fence or rolling burning tyres and throwing rocks.

Domestic critics said it raised broader questions about whether Netanyahu could carry out any proper decision-making process.

Iran urges Saudi Arabia to end Yemen war, engage in dialog
They were once strong enough to force the legitimate government to flee, but the Saudi-led Arab coalition has weakened them. Saudi officials aren't concerned, however, as they're threatening to attack Iran over he missiles instead.

Palestinians say protesters were fired on while posing no threat to soldiers. The Israeli group B'Tselem, in a rare appeal, urged Israeli soldiers to refuse such orders.

At previous peace talks, the Palestinians have always demanded, along with sovereignty in the West Bank, Gaza, East Jerusalem, and the Old City, a "right of return" to Israel for Palestinian refugees who left or were forced out of Israel when it was established. The last round collapsed last month, in part because Hamas refused to disarm.

At a minimum, Hamas hopes to draw worldwide attention to Gaza and improve leverage if Egypt brokers a new round of talks with Abbas, the officials said.

Abbas told the Egyptian intelligence this week that he would not waste any more time negotiating a deal with Hamas and that he would only assume responsibility for Gaza if Hamas hands over all powers, including control over the security apparatus, according to two Palestinian officials.

Ndamukong Suh is headed to the Rams
Suh and Michael Brockers are expected to start alongside Donald, the AP's Defensive Player of the Year. He'll play on a one-year deal worth $14 million according to ESPN's Adam Schefter .

Just prior to the decision to shutter Holot, he told his officials, "This removal is taking place thanks to an worldwide agreement I reached that enables us to remove the 40,000 infiltrators remaining, remove them without their consent", reportedThe Times of Israel.
