Israel on Highest Alert as Iran Threatens to Attackā€

The two sides stressed the need for increasing coordination and consultations between Iran and Syria to face terrorism and its supporters and to confront the hostile provocations and threats by Israel, the U.S., and their allies and pawns in the region.

Russia, Iran and Syria have accused of mounting the attack, Israel, however Israel has neither confirmed nor denied participation.

Syrian media on Tuesday quoted Ali Akbar Velayati, an aide to Iran's supreme leader Ali Khameini, as saying that "the attack on the base in Syria will not remain unanswered".

Simeone Proud of Atletico's Madrid Derby Fight
But the result is of little use to Atletico, now 11 points behind Barca with just seven rounds of the Primera Division remaining. But the lead was short-lived as Antoine Griezmann fired home just four minutes later for a share of the spoils at the Bernabeu.

Iran calls its fighters in Syria the defenders of the shrine as it says the forces are there to protect the Zeinab Shrine, a holy site near Damascus.

Vettel beats Raikkonen to pole in Bahrain
Ferrari has since been fined 5,000 euros by the FIA for an unsafe release, but Raikkonen avoided a three-place grid penalty. Nico Hulkenberg along with Carlos Sainz place Renault best-of-the-rest with all the eighth and seventh quickest situations.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a British-based monitor, said at least 14 people were killed in the Sunday's raid, including some fighters of various nationalities. In the process, Syrian air defenses downed an Israeli jet - the first time an Israeli military aircraft had been taken out by enemy fire since the 1980s. Israel has taken out several strikes from Syria previously, several directed toward stopping exactly what it states is now a military buildup by Iran and its regional ally, Hezbollah, and the Syrian-Israeli border.

Seven Iranian military personnel were killed in the air strike, Tasnim news agency said, nearly double the number originally reported. Aviation analysts described the Iranian drone as a new stealthy model similar in design to the American RQ-170 Sentinel spy drone that Iran claimed to have shot down and seized in December 2011.

Russian Federation said two F-15 fighter jets bombed an airbase in Syria. In allegedly striking an Iran-linked target in Syria, Israel may be sending a message to the Iranians and to the global community that it will not stand idly by as Iran consolidates power in Syria with Assad's recent victories over the rebels.
