Russian Federation has vetoed a UN Security Council resolution that would have put pressure on Iran for failing to prevent its missiles from being used in the Yemeni conflict.

Haley did not specify what kind of action could be taken.

The UK drafted the resolution in consultation with the United States and France and it was attached to a vote for the renewal of UN sanctions in Yemen.

The report submitted by the United Nations panel of experts, which is affiliated with the sanctions committee in Yemen, was welcomed by the coalition as it provided evidence on the involvement of the Iranian regime in supporting terrorist organizations, including the Houthi militia.
