Trump tweet on National Football League player's death 'ghoulish and inappropriate'”

President Trump said the death of former Arizona Cardinals linebacker Edwin Jackson by a suspected drunk driver who was in country illegally could have been avoided with stricter immigration laws.

Jackson and 54-year-old-old Jeffrey Monroe of Avon, Indiana, were killed Sunday when authorities say they were struck by 37-year-old Manuel Orrego-Savala along Interstate 70 in Indianapolis. He also has numerous other misdemeanor convictions and arrests in California and in, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokeswoman Nicole Alberico.

Orrego-Savala was deported in 2007 and 2009, and was again living illegally in the USA at the time of the crash, according to investigators. He was formally charged Wednesday with two counts of failure to remain at the scene of an accident and two counts tied to drunken driving death, reports the Star. The 26-year-old Jackson and 54-year-old Jeffrey Monroe were struck as they stood outside Monroe's vehicle along Interstate 70 in Indianapolis. The Georgia Southern product had 61 tackles and two sacks and started eight games in 2016 for the Colts. Since Orrego-Savala's fingerprints did not trigger an alert when submitted to the Indiana State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, he was released after serving two days in jail, police said. He is scheduled for an initial hearing in Marion County Circuit Court on Wednesday. Orrego-Savala had a prior conviction for driving under the influence, and had been deported twice, according to officials.

Uber driver Jeffery Monroe had pulled over to the emergency shoulder of I-70 to lend a hand to Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson, who investigators believe had become ill. The two more serious counts each carry a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

The Coen Brothers chose Mahoney for the role of WP Mayhew in Barton Fink (1992) because of his resemblance to William Faulkner . Fellow Steppenwolf actor Gary Sinise said it was "a great pleasure to know him and work with him".

Orrego-Savala does not now have an attorney, but one will be appointed before Wednesday morning's initial hearing.

Instead, Williams says Trump needs to focus on the drunk driving problem in America - since the suspect was allegedly almost three times the legal limit when he struck and killed Jackson.

Both men were standing outside the vehicle when a black Ford F-150 pickup truck drove onto the emergency shoulder and struck them.

Jackson was "a wonderful young man whose life was so senselessly taken", the president wrote.

Always happy. always uplifting. always humble.he was a true shining light on this earth.Such an incredibly sad day for anybody who has ever been lucky enough to be around or befriend Edwin Jackson.
