New Google Pay App For Android Released”

Over the weekend, they actually began rolling out a screenshot-related update, it's just that it's only available in the Google App and it isn't scrolling capture.

Google said last month that it was going to be combining Google Wallet and Android Pay into one app as a one-stop-shop for all kinds of payments. Google Pay now works at all the locations where Android Pay was available. It aims at making the checkout process easier for users while making payments on Android devices. Google is also working with online and in-store partners to bring Google Pay checkout to websites, in apps, and at brick-and-mortar locations across the globe.

Google Pay represents its attempt at unifying and simplifying its digital payments service across the web, in apps, in stores, and through peer-to-peer (P2P). It lists your credit cards, loyalty and gift codes, saved offers and promotional discounts. There was Google Wallet, which could be used to make Play Store purchases and send money to your friends and then there was Android Pay, an NFC-based solution that let you make payments at compatible locations. In the meantime, Google has, for some reason, rebranded Google Wallet as Google Pay Send, which will allow you to continue to send and request payments.

As Google's VP of Product Management for Payments, Pali Bhat told me, the team really wanted to make it extremely easy to get started with Google Pay and use the service to pay for goods online and in the real world - and to do so with as little friction as possible. According to Google, Google Pay is not working with iPhones. The Google Phone app is a customized version of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) dialer.
