China is moving quickly to allow Xi Jinping to rule indefinitelyā€¯

China's Communist Party wants to remove the part of the country's constitution that limits a president's time in office to two five-year terms, according to state-run media.

During the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China in Beijing's Great Hall of the People last October, his ideology, or the "Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era", was at the forefront of his speech.

Jiang Zemin, who stepped down as president in 2003 after two terms, continued to wield power as leader of the country's military. Therefore, the CCP should not rubber-stamp the whims of Xi because China's modernization will be threatened by power concentration being in the hands of a long-lasting leader.

For Xi, what this means is that party's central committee's proposal to remove term limits will not be blocked by China's parliament, or NPC. That would mark the first time that a leader has had his philosophy enshrined in the constitution since Deng and Mao.

But already in autumn of a year ago, party leaders had indicated that Convention was nothing more than a convention, and could be disposed of quietly.

This development is on expected lines, Professor Alka Acharya of JNU said explaining that the move would be passed down to the lowest level of Communist Party units in China so that the party and the state structure is prepared to carry out this change.

Even though his father Xi Zhongxun - a renowned revolutionary hero turned vice premier - was purged by Mao, Xi has remained true to the party that rules with an iron fist and over which he reigns supreme.

"(Xi) would then ensure that his constitutional reform is adopted without opposition", said Jean-Pierre Cabestan, China politics specialist at Hong Kong Baptist University.

Sunday's announcement on term limits came before the Central Committee was to begin a three-day meeting in Beijing on Monday to discuss major personnel appointments and other issues.

Xi has also been at the helm of a crackdown on corruption that analysts say was aimed at eliminating his rivals. There is growing concern that Xi could be leaning toward following in the footsteps of China's former leader Mao Zedong.

Aged 69, Wang had reached the age at which top officials tend to retire.

So my Chinese brothers and sisters, please do not be frightened by the communist party mafia, they have always been weak, relying on fear tactics to keep the proud chinese people as slaves to their whims.

After taking over a party general secretary, Xi has started a war against the corruption, which helped the country to improve its corruption perception ranking by Transparency International.
