Yemen: dozens killed in fierce fighting over weekend”

"I appeal to the leader Saleh to show more wisdom and maturity. and not to heed incitement calls", Abdel-Malek al-Houthi said in a speech on the group's Al-Masirah TV, adding that his group was ready to sit down for arbitration and abide by any ruling.

Unverified footage circulated on social media appeared to a show corpse resembling Saleh, wrapped in a floral-print blanket with a severe head injury.

However, Saleh's party said the ex-president had been killed outside Sanaa.

The fighting that led to Saleh's death also apparently allowed the Houthis gain control of the majority of Yemen's capital Sanaa.

Senators, prosecutor cite fake comments on internet rules
Under Pai's proposal, the Obama-era rules would be reversed and ISPs would only have to disclose blocking or throttling. More than 20 million comments were submitted - but Schneiderman says many of them are fake.

On this regard, Qatari Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al-Thani said on Thursday, on the sidelines of the third edition of the Mediterranean Dialogues Forum, that Abdullah Saleh's insult to Qatar is unjustified.

The Huthis quickly hit back, accusing Saleh of staging a "coup against our alliance". But he recently switched his alliance to Saudi Arabia, which has led a three-year bombing campaign against the Houthis in Yemen and implemented a blockade of Yemeni ports.

Earlier on December 4, Huthi forces blew up Saleh's house in Sanaa and came under aerial attack by Saudi-led coalition warplanes for a second day, residents said.

Saleh, 75, ruled Yemen for more than three decades until his ouster under popular pressure in 2012.

Hannity: 'It Was San Francisco's Sanctuary City Policies That Killed Kate Steinle'
Jim Steinle, left, father of Kate Steinle , walks toward the courtroom at the San Francisco Hall of Justice on October 23, 2017. Assistant District Attorney Alex Bastian said prosecutors were disappointed in the verdict but respected the jury's decision.

Yemen expert Nadwa Dawsari, of non-profit Project on Middle East Democracy, said Saleh's killing could have grave consequnces for the country. He remained in the country, however, and continued to wield power from behind the scenes.

The Houthis and forces allied to Saleh swept into the capital, Sanaa, in 2014.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) dismissed claims that Yemen's Houthi rebels fired a missile towards a nuclear plant in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, state news agency WAM reported. His party's alliance with the Houthis disintegrated and the two sides fought bloody clashes in Sanaa, the capital, that killed dozens of people.

At least 10,000 people have been killed in the civil war, which is viewed as a proxy struggle between Saudi Arabia and Iran. Iran supports the Houthis but denies arming them.
