Nationals, Dave Martinez agree to managerial deal
The ballclub is expected to tap Chicago Cubs bench coach Dave Martinez to take the reigns after parting ways with Dusty Baker . The two were together with the Cubs for the past three seasons, including that team's 2016 World Series championship.

According to NBC's sources, Mueller's team has ramped up the pressure on Flynn following last week's indictment and arrest of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort.

If Mueller does charge Flynn it would be a milestone because it would mark the first time that a current or former Trump administration official would be formally charged with committing a crime. Officials told NBC News that any quid-pro-quo agreement between Flynn and the Turkish government would be illegal. Federal investigators are also reportedly looking into allegations Flynn attempted to sidestep the extradition process and send the Turkish cleric Fethullah Gülen, a rival of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, back to Turkey in exchange for a multi-million dollar fee. Sources say Mueller also has enough evidence to charge Flynn's son, Michael G. Flynn. Lawyers for the Flynn family did not comment to NBC on the news. Illinois Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi wrote in a tweet published shortly after the news broke Sunday. Both are facing a 12-count indictment for conspiracy against the United States, laundering money, and acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign principal.

If he is charged, Mr Flynn would be the fourth person to face prosecution as part of Mr Mueller's investigation. Although the charges did not center on activities pertaining to the Trump campaign, their filing marked a significant moment in Mueller's Russian Federation probe.

The investigation also led to charges against Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos, who pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI.
