President Trump Strikes Back at 'Short and Fat' Kim Jong Un”

President Trump and the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong un, have traded insults publicly, with the latest juvenile interaction suggesting that a mutually acceptable solution to North Korea's nuclear weapons programme is still some way off.

Appearing to respond to recent North Korean media reports criticizing Trump, the president asked on Twitter why the young dictator feels the need to call him "old" since he has never called Kim "short and fat".

"Why would Kim Jong-un insult me by calling me 'old, ' when I would NEVER call him 'short and fat?' Oh well, I try so hard to be his friend - and maybe someday that will happen!"

"We don't, I don't, I don't allow the staff to", Kelly said, adding that the tweets "are what they are".

It comes on the same day Rodong Sinmun, the regime-run newspaper, warned the North would "surely win in the showdown" with the US and South Korea.

Court of Appeal verdict against it at the Supreme Court, has been turned down by the highest court in the land. This particular one covers the Cupertino-based brand's slide-to-unlock, autocorrect, and quick links patent.

"That might be a odd thing to happen but it's a possibility", he said.

His comments came after Trump threatened in his maiden United Nations address to totally destroy the country of 26 million people if the USA were threatened.

The Korean Central News Agency referred to Trump on Saturday as a "destroyer" and a "dotard" who "begged for nuclear war".

"Might be a odd thing to happen but it's certainly a possibility", Trump said during a press conference with Vietnam's president, adding that it would be "very, every nice if it did".

"If it did happen it could be a good thing I can tell you for North Korea, but it could also be good for a lot of other places and be good for the rest the world".

After North Korea's Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho addressed the U.N. General Assembly in September Trump tweeted: "Just heard Foreign Minister of North Korea speak at U.N. If he echoes thoughts of Little Rocket Man, they won't be around much longer!"

The post came in response to the country's foreign ministry calling Trump "an old lunatic" over his speech in South Korea.

Speaking later in Vietnam's capital, Hanoi, Trump said "it would be very, very nice" if he and Kim became friends.

In the first of three successive tweets Sunday morning, Trump hit back at his critics.
