New iPad 2018 model tipped with iPhone X facial recognition tech

According to a new report from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the Californian technology firm is building a new "high-end" tablet computer with features including facial recognition technology Face ID, slimmer bezels round the screen, and no home button.

Though Kuo didn't mention Face ID specifically, Apple's True Depth cameras are what enable Face ID, Animoji, and other features that take advantage of the iPhone X's depth-sensing selfie camera. However, the inclusion of an OLED display is unlikely due to cost and lack of choice of suppliers. Developers can also allow you to use Face ID to sign into their apps. The company introduced a range of AR features to iOS 11 and now believes a dedicated system that won't require a paired smartphone is the next logical step. The feature would replace the iPad home button that has come with a fingerprint scanner since 2014, one of the people said.

Unfortunately, the source also states that there is not going to an OLED screen made for the iPad family incoming in 2018.

Trump Says New York Suspect's Visa Was a 'Chuck Schumer Beauty'
But Obama sought to close the center, did not send prisoners there and sought to try suspects in criminal courts. The military commission system at the off-shore prison has been often beset by legal challenges and delays.

As far as the specifications of this new generation iPad are concerned, it would be powered by even more powerful processor.

Rumours of the new iPad follow hot on the heels of speculation that Apple is preparing an augmented reality (AR) headset. This would especially be beneficial for the larger iPad Pro which has the same design as the first-gen model from 2015.

Apple's been suffering from declining iPad sales for years as demand for tablets continues to remain low. Rumors suggest this next-generation iPad will launch later next year.

The iPad business used to be a huge profit driver for Apple, but revenue has fallen as overall tablet sales have declined in the past few years.

Kuo reveals more details on 2018's iPhones - one of them being the iPhone X Plus.

We could expect to see the revolutionary 3D facial recognition feature on the next iPad.
