Order Food Feature on Facebook Launches in US

Order Food Feature on Facebook Launches in US”

Users will have to go to the "order food" section on Facebook's "explore" menu, which will show them a list of participating restaurants in the vicinity through which they can place their order. The company announced today that users in the USA can use the platform to order food for takeout and delivery. You do have to create an account with an individual delivery provider if you're ordering through their service on Facebook (say Delivery.com), but you don't have to leave the social network to do it. The feature is now available everywhere in the US on iOS, Android, and desktop. Rather, Facebook is partnering with existing services like DoorDash and Grubhub.

At your fingertips."People already go to Facebook to figure out what to eat by reading about nearby restaurants, and seeing what their friends say about them". Users can then select the Start Order option.

Ordering food for takeout or delivery is supposed to be simple.

Trump says 'only one thing will work' with North Korea

The post announcing this previously tested food ordering feature details a truly awful present and an even more terrible future.

Ordering food online is cumbersome as you have to switch between several apps to get your favourite meal.

However, the company made no comment as to how long that option was live, or what percentage of users on Facebook had it to use.

Theresa May's speech proves she has learnt nothing from her disastrous election
Under party rules, if 48 Tory lawmakers write letters calling for May to resign, a leadership contest is triggered. That said, Ed Vaizey has claimed "quite a few" MPs want her to go.

If you spend a lot of time in the Facebook app, you can get some food while you're checking in on what your friends and family are doing. Facebook Order Food option is now available to U.S. users on iOS, Android and desktop.

As Facebook explains it, ordering food is a natural next-step for the company. It's ever so slightly faster if you're already on Facebook, I suppose - and good exposure for some of the services that users might not already be familiar with. Orders can be placed for either take-out or delivery.
