Mobile puts 5GB cap on high-speed data in Canada and Mexico

Mobile puts 5GB cap on high-speed data in Canada and Mexicoā€¯

T-Mobile unveiled Mobile Without Borders to great fanfare in 2015, a plan for customers that added unlimited calling, texting, and 4G LTE data throughout Mexico and Canada at no extra cost.

That was a pretty big deal back then, but now T-Mobile is looking to drawback its Mobile Without Borders perk by capping users data speeds after 5GB of data is used at 4G LTE speeds while in either Canada or Mexico.

BlackBerry Motion With 5.5-Inch Display, 4000mAh Battery Launched: Price, Specifications
It sports a 5.5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display with DragonTrail Glass protection and a physical home button below the display . The Locker Mode will also allow users to save all of their captured photos only on the native storage without Cloud linking.

The users can access to less data if they aren't subscribed to an unlimited plan, for example, a customer with 6 GB cap will only have 4 GB to utilize in overseas in case the 2 GB has already consumed.

If you really need more than that data, you can still purchase high-speed worldwide LTE data for an additional $25. Once the 5GB limit is used, customers will still get unlimited data, but it will throttled to "Simple Global speeds", which is about 128Kbps. While 5GB is a healthy amount for a short trip, it's still going to change your behavior - you may end up using hotel WiFi when you can instead of relying exclusively on cellular data.

Theresa May's speech proves she has learnt nothing from her disastrous election
Under party rules, if 48 Tory lawmakers write letters calling for May to resign, a leadership contest is triggered. That said, Ed Vaizey has claimed "quite a few" MPs want her to go.

The change comes into effect on November 12, 2017, and hits customers on T-Mobile One, One Plus, Simple Choice, and legacy rate plans.

T-Mobile has been known over the past few years to introduce new Un-carrier movements that provide benefits to the customer, differentiating itself from the competition. Either way, T-Mobile says that less than 1 percent of users who travel to either country use over 5GB in a month. You won't keep running into overages (this is T-Mobile), however, you'll need to manage with speeds as low as 128 Kbps on the off chance that you go over your fast allotment.
