Ford Recalls 1.3 Million Pickup Trucks

Ford Recalls 1.3 Million Pickup Trucks”

Ford has now recalled more than 5 million vehicles for varying door latch-related issues since 2016, but the company said the issue in the new recall is different from prior ones.

A frozen latch found in these vehicles may cause doors to not open or close correctly.

Customers will be notified by letter to let them know they are part of the recall beginning the week of November 13.

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner announce engagement
Captioning a picture of their interlinked hands with Turner showing off her wedding ring, he simply wrote: " She said yes ". He explained on The Jonathan Ross Show: "I rang him up and I said , "I'm getting married and it's your fault actually".

Dealers can fix the issue by installing water shields over the door latches and repairing the door latch actuation cables, at no cost to the customer.

The F-150 pickup has consistently been the best selling vehicle in the country for decades.

Ford estimates the cost of the recall at $267 million. If consumers are able to open and close such doors, the door may appear closed, but the latch may not fully engage, increasing the risk for a possible injury.

The recall affects Ford's F-Series pickups. The second-largest US automaker also said its full-year adjusted earnings per share will still be in the range of $1.65 to $1.85 a share.

Ford is recalling 1.3 million F-150 and Super Duty trucks because of an issue that could allow a door to open while driving in certain conditions.
