Nissan unveils new LEAF complete with e-Pedal and improved range”

Japanese carmaker Nissan has revealed the all-new Leaf in their home country.

The index also tracks an automaker's "e-share" as a percentage of the total range of all cars and trucks of all kinds sold by that company. The feature empowers the vehicle to start, accelerate and apply brakes.

Nissan is planning to pull out the real show-stopper in late 2018.

Netflix Won't Get Future 'Star Wars,' Marvel Films - And Streamer's Investors Shrug
Disney is about to make a massive move into the direct-to-consumer avenue, and they're bringing all their best toys with them. This is includes Daredevil , Jessica Jones , Luke Cage , Iron Fist , The Defenders and future Marvel-Netflix properties.

The zero-emissions vehicle-which Japanese automaker Nissan Motor Co. unveiled in the US late Tuesday and in a Tokyo suburb Wednesday-promises a travel range of about 400 kilometers in Japanese driving conditions or 150 miles in the USA, before needing another charge. Keep in mind that the range could fall when using USA fuel economy standards. As with Tesla, they're not really pushing to hit insane targets, what they're doing is creating a market. The design of the Nissan Leaf is a departure from the previous generation auto and is more in line with contemporary vehicle designs.

Nissan includes a short statement saying, "For those who want more excitement and performance, Nissan will also offer a new higher power, longer range version at a higher price for the 2019 model year".

The 2018 Nissan Leaf price starts at $29,990.

The new Leaf, launched on Wednesday, goes on sale in Japan from October 2 and elsewhere early next year. Simultaneously, the Leaf also offers the various modern conveniences on which many automobile industries are working; including the driver assist system of Nissan, called as "ProPILOT Assist" that combines lane keeping and adaptive cruise control.

Since the Leaf debuted in 2011, initially built only in Japan, some 300,000 units have sold globally, including 113,282 in the USA, according to WardsAuto data. Moreover, it can also run on a highway in a single lane without the assistance of the driver. The new Leaf is scheduled to be on display Saturday, Sept. 16 at the National Drive Electric Week event at De Anza Community College in Cupertino.

"We took something that was hitting 90 percent of the usage scenes and we made it 40 percent better", said Chris Reed, Nissan's vice president of component engineering, at a meeting with reporters before the Technology in Motion conference Wednesday here. The Tesla and Bolt EV are available with an advanced autonomous driving system for an added price. "We were holding some clinics in California - there are a lot of EV buyers out there - and we were hearing feedback about how to get more EV-ness" in the new Leaf to improve regeneration of brake energy.

Gas Prices Are Going Way Up in Mississauga
In Vancouver, McKnight predicted little change on the weekend but McTeague says he expects a five-cent jump on Saturday. Marie days before the long weekend and as of Friday at around 5:30 p.m. prices were as high as 135.9 cents per litre.

Leaf started entering the Sri Lankan market about three years ago with the second-hand 2012 model which had a theoretical range of 120 kilometres, but practically did just about 80 kilometres on a full charge. "Maybe a more reasonable figure and then at least Australian customers touch this new Leaf, I think that is important". And if nothing else, it's a real upgrade for existing Leaf owners at a price that should prove tempting to many.
