Boris Johnson faces awkward 7-hour flight with PM after Brexit row

Boris Johnson faces awkward 7-hour flight with PM after Brexit row”

Allies of Mr Johnson suggested he would walk out if Mrs May opted for a so-called "EEA-minus" option, including payments for single market access and tying Britain to many European Union rules.

Johnson told reporters in NY that he would not be resigning, saying: "We are working together, that is the key thing, to make sure that Britain can take advantage of the opportunities of Brexit".

But, ahead of a special ministerial meeting to discuss her Brexit speech, she said she expected Mr Johnson to remain in his Cabinet role.

Asked if the Foreign Secretary had threatened to resign in the days after his article was published in the Daily Telegraph, Mrs May's spokesman said: "I am certainly not aware of that, no".

Some Rohingyas are linked to ISI, Pakistani terrorists
The Supreme Court on Monday will hear plea filed by the two Rohingya immigrants, Mohammad Salimullah and Mohammad Shaqir. Their petition says that the Centre's plan to deport them violated global conventions.

Their schedules do not coincide until Wednesday when Mr Johnson is due to be in the audience for Mrs May's formal address to the United Nations, and he is not due to join the PM at a reception for Commonwealth leaders on Tuesday evening, the spokesman said.

"The PM has said consistently that she values the contribution of people from across the cabinet, and clearly this is a significant moment in terms of our progress, and in terms of our relationship with Europe".

Expressing his belief that her remarks would unite the Conservative party, Johnson said: "I am confident she will set out an exciting and positive vision for Brexit and it will be a speech around which everyone can unite".

The foreign secretary was ambushed by journalists in NY after he returned from a run. Then, Johnson was forced to say he wouldn't consider standing until 2019 after being spotted having a drink with Defence Secretary Sir Michael Fallon, a key ally of the Prime Minister.

Iraqi Kurdish Parliament Backs Independence Referendum
The United States has proposed unspecified "alternatives" to the vote, to which Barzani has pledged to give a rapid response. The KRG has ignored increasing calls for the cancelation of the referendum, saying the vote would go ahead as planned.

"I still have some difficulty seeing how, after the general election which produced a hung parliament in the United Kingdom, this government is going to get its form of Brexit through", he said.

And asked directly if he would resign, he replied: "No".

"Boris is doing good work as Foreign Secretary", she said, according to a Tweet by Sky News reporter Beth Rigby.

Phil Hogan, the EU's agricultural commissioner, also warned that Britain must be less "vague" on the question of the Irish border if negotiations are to go well. May was forced to fight off claims that Mr. Johnson had become a "back-seat driver" in her cabinet.

Xbox One owners could soon reduce burden of big install files
Microsoft has been working on a new feature for Xbox One and Xbox One X that stands to save users a ton of storage space. It's not clear how widely publishers will adopt it, however, as there's no indication using the system will be mandatory.

"No", Mr Johnson responded, before cheerily describing the Cabinet as a "nest of singing birds".
