Defense Secretary, Schwarzenegger say U.S. ready to respond

Defense Secretary, Schwarzenegger say U.S. ready to respond”

Defense Secretary Jim Mattis says the Trump administration is working with its allies on a diplomatic solution to escalating tensions with North Korea.

"It is the job of Secretary Mattis, the Secretary of Defense, to talk about the military options".

The United States and South Korea remain technically still at war with North Korea after the 1950-53 Korean conflict ended with a truce, not a peace treaty.

The Pentagon chief on Wednesday issued a carefully worded statement telling North Korea it would be "grossly" outmatched in any conflict with the United States, and warning Pyongyang to stop considering any action that risked "the destruction of its people".

Taylor Swift testifies that groping was 'horrifying and shocking'
Taylor Swift has wrapped up her testimony in a civil trial over whether a former radio DJ groped her before a 2013 concert. A photo from the 2013 encounter is pictured below via TMZ . "You stand there and take a photo".

In a lengthy exchange with reporters at his Bedminster golf resort, he said past administrations had not done enough to take on North Korea and that it was time a president "stuck up for the country".

"While our State Department is making every effort to resolve this global threat through diplomatic means, it must be noted that the combined allied militaries now possess the most precise, rehearsed and robust defensive and offensive capabilities on Earth", Mattis said.

Mattis's comments came shortly after President Donald Trump warned North Korea it should be "very, very nervous" if it thinks of attacking America, and doubled down on a vow to rain "fire and fury" on Pyongyang if it continued to threaten the US.

"How often do you see France, China, Russia, the USA voting unanimously on any issue?" In fact, "If we have to, we'll go to war", Graham said.

Venezuela uses 'excessive force to crush dissent'
The representative of the host country, Ricardo Luna , vehemently condemned: "What we have in Venezuela is a dictatorship". Venezuela has been beset by a wave of anti-government protests since April 1 that have left at least 121 people dead.

"Since the early 1990s we've used the NY channel as a way of communicating with Pyongyang because we don't have diplomatic relations with North Koreans", said Joel Wit, a former State Department employee and the founder of 38 North, a website for expert analysis on North Korea.

"What they've been doing and what they've been getting away with is a tragedy and it can't be allowed", Trump said. He's the fourth in line to the presidency.

But it also said that if the US and South Korea took a first strike against North Korea, China should intervene.

"North Korea has said it may attack Guam in retaliation". In response, North Korea announced it was developing plans for a missile strike against Guam.
