Trump also abrogated Presidential Policy Directive "Normalization of Relations between the United States and Cuba", issued by President Obama on October 14, 2016.

"We will not lift sanctions on the Cuban regime until all political prisoners are freed, freedoms of assembly and expression are respected, all political parties are legalized and free and internationally supervised elections are scheduled", Trump said on Friday.

Trump will also exempt banking transactions and fees, allowing Americans to continue to rent private properties such as those offered through AirBnB.
