Transformers Get Arthurian in 'The Last Knight'

That includes a Friday-Sunday take of $45.3 million.

Director Michael Bay's film, the fifth in the Transformers series, totalled 69.1 million United States dollars (£53.9 million) in five days, after opening on Wednesday. And it is the first Transformers movie not to open to $100 million or more.

The Transformers series always has made millions internationally and it should make up ground from a slow start when it launches in 42 worldwide markets including China and the United Kingdom. Now, it's up to the alliance of Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg), Bumblebee, a Lord (Sir Anthony Hopkins) and an Oxford professor (Laura Haddock) to save the planet. They key to saving the future lies buried in the secrets of the past and the hidden history of Transformers on Earth.

Cynthia Marie Randolph , 25, was charged with two first-degree felony counts of injury to a child causing serious bodily injury . Experts say that children overheat four times quicker than adults and could die once their body temperature reaches 107 degrees.

Transformers: The Last Knight is nothing more than an incoherent mess of a movie, with a plot that makes no sense and action scenes so all over the place you can't follow them.

It feels like Michael Bay no longer cares if the movies in this franchise are any good. Does the fifth entry in the franchise, The Last Knight redeem the series somewhat? Males made up 57 percent of the audience, while 51 percent of ticket buyers were over the age of 25.

And when we say "the master", we mean Michael Bay does not give two hoots about preserving the integrity of his movies when it comes to advertising other people's stuff.

Summary: Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. It will now be up to newly installed Paramount chairman-CEO Jim Gianopulos to decide the fate of any further chapters beyond the spinoff.

The Last Knight overtook The Mummy for the top spot this weekend, opening in 42 foreign territories, including major markets like China, Australia, and Russian Federation. The superhero tentpole earned an impressive $25.2 million to cross $300 million domestically. Now, attention is turned toward a trio of releases next weekend, as the box office hopes for a shot in the arm from "Despicable Me 3", "Baby Driver", and "The House". That, combined with the domestic take of $69.1 million, would put the film's global opening at $265.3 million.

Indie shark movie 47 Meters Down placed No. 4 with $7.4 million, while All Eyez on Me and The Mummy were in a close race for the No. 5 spot with roughly $5.8 million each.
