Lewis Hamilton feels Ferrari wanted Sebastian Vettel to win Monaco Grand Prix

The Mercedes driver fell 25 points behind Vettel after the German secured Ferrari's first victory around the iconic streets of Monte Carlo in 16 years, while Hamilton recovered to finish seventh.

'The vehicle was in a really different place to where it's been before, ' explained Hamilton. Before the Italian national anthem played out in all its jauntiness, he could barely be bothered to lift his second-place trophy in the air. "So they are going to be pushing everything to make sure Sebastian will maximise on all of his weekends".

"It's very hard for the leading auto (here) to get jumped by the second vehicle unless the team decide to favour the other vehicle... so that's very clear".

"First of all they deserved to be there, they had the quickest auto out there". The 37-year-old started the race flawlessly and looked to be taking home a nice piece of silverware, but that was before Sebastian Vettel stepped up to the plate.

Rudd stands in for May and hides private grief in TV debate
Mr Nuttall argued that Muslims should do more to combat terrorism while Mr Corbyn attacked him for singling out the community. Ms Rudd said next week's election was about choosing the strongest leadership to take Britain through Brexit .

"I knew that if I have any chance that might be it until I get the call because Valtteri was on fresh tires so it's likely that he will go quicker, so I just tried to push as hard as I can and wait for the call to box".

Hamilton's season has been blighted by an on-going struggle to get this year's new Pirelli tyres in the optimum operating window, and thus extracting the maximum performance from his Mercedes auto.

"They are finally where we were back in the days where you finish one and two and have to explain why the right guy won", he added. I was devastated yesterday but to come away with some points is better than nothing. "I like to think those points will be valuable at the end of the season".

Indeed, after just six races Hamilton trails Sebastian Vettel by 25 points following the Ferrari driver's victory here.

AMD's Radeon RX Vega graphics cards likely won't launch until August
The company's previously-unveiled Radeon Vega Frontier Edition, meanwhile, has received an official launch date of June 27th. As expected, AMD dished more details on the forthcoming ThreadRipper lineup, which tops out with 16 cores and 32 threads.

Hamilton, who struggled with tyre temperatures throughout the Monaco weekend, says Mercedes need to work hard to catch up and make their W08 more consistent.

"We spoke about the race before [the start]", Vettel said.

"I don't think Daniel had priority over Max going into the race". We are under no illusion that we are not ideal and have still go areas to improve on. "We know that the Ferraris are not bulletproof, they have things potentially coming up with all the turbos they've used or potentially used, so we will see".

On a circuit noted for the extreme difficulty it presents for overtaking, Hamilton was lucky simply to scrape into a points-paying result. "Bit by bit we will try and chip away".

Stan Wawrinka beats Mischa Zverev, retains Geneva Open title
Victory against Zverev avenged a defeat when Wawrinka last faced him, at another Swiss tournament in Basel last October. The Russia-born German's second runner-up finish comes more than six years after his first, at Metz, France.

Allegedly, the Ferrari team ordered Kimi to let Vettel pass him, and they are backing that story up with Raikkonen's behavior after the race, which was a bit grumpy.
