Shadow Brokers says "would release new exploit for Windows 10"

Shadow Brokers says

The Shadow Brokers - a group that claimed last Saturday (May 13) that they have stolen hacking tools from the National Security Agency (NSA) - said in a blog post that it would set up a "monthly subscription model" for security exploits.

The group said it would shut down operations permanently providing a "responsible party is buying all lost data before it is being sold", a comment seemingly addressed towards the NSA.

The Shadow Brokers mentioned that the leaked data could contain web browser, router, handset exploits and tools, newer Ops Disks and exploits for Windows 10, compromised network data from Central banks and compromised network data from Russian, Chinese, Iranian, or North Korean nuclear and missile programs.

In the wake of the massive global WannaCry ransomware attacks, worldwide governments and software vendors have begun playing the blame game. "Cisco, Juniper, Intel, Microsoft, Symantec, Google, Apple, FireEye, any other bullshit security companies didn't bid in auction".

Simple steps to tiptoe around WannaCry ransomware nightmare
How does WannaCry work and what can we do to protect ourselves? "Looking at the trends, it was going to happen", he said. The ransomware exploits a vulnerability in Microsoft Windows that was purportedly identified by the U.S.

"Repeatedly, exploits in the hands of governments have leaked into the public domain and caused widespread damage." - said Microsoft's Brad Smith - "An equivalent scenario with conventional weapons would be the US military having some of its Tomahawk missiles stolen". The NSA supposedly realized what the Shadow Brokers had and told Microsoft.

While the motives of the Shadow Brokers remains unknown, it claimed that it wasn't interested in the bug bounties paid by software firms for vulnerabilities found in their code or selling to "cyber thugs".

The Shadow Brokers made the screenshots available in January.

RiskSense has been tracking the Shadow Brokers since last August, when it released a zero-day exploit "Extra Bacon" for Cisco ASA firewalls that potentially allowed attackers to access internal networks. Microsoft took the unprecedented step of skipping Patch Tuesday in February and then released the SMB (Server Message Block) fix in March that was used by WannaCry and not dumped by the Shadow Brokers until April. Because why not? TheShadowBrokers is having many more where coming from? This is theshadowbrokers way of telling theequationgroup "all your bases are belong to us".

Hyundai, Kia ordered to recall 240000 cars over safety concerns
The companies submitted arguments which were heard May 8 by independent arbitrators not affiliated with the ministry or with Hyundai or Kia .

The cyber security community has been combing through the blog post and other indicators for the Shadow Broker's intentions.

The rogue hackers have promised more details on their content-monetization strategy in June. "They claim they still have zero-days".

The Shadow Brokers are threatening to make public more of the exploits and tools that they have access to, thanks to the NSA hack.

"It's being like wine of month club", said the blog post, which is written in broken English.
