Rolf Harris arrived home today after leaving prison following less than three years behind bars - despite being in the middle of a child sex abuse trial.

Former TV star Rolf Harris has been released from jail after almost three years, Sky News understands.

Harris is before a jury at Southwark Crown Court on four indecent assault charges involving three women when they were teenagers in 1971, 1978 and 1983.

Harris has been attending the current trial via video-link but, after being released, will attend his trial in person.

The jury had previously been told Harris had already been convicted and sentenced for other offences in 2014.

The court has heard that he told her she was "a little bit irresistible".

'I do feel strongly that men like Harris shouldn't get away with it'.

Judge Taylor granted Harris bail after it was sought by his barrister and unopposed by the prosecution.

The woman said she was "in shock" afterwards and "couldn't comprehend really what happened".

She told the court: 'I absolutely have not (fabricated evidence). She said when Mr Harris had been arrested in 2013 her friends and family had phoned her with the news but she remained reluctant to come forward. He is now serving a five-year, nine-month jail term after being convicted by a jury of indecently assaulting four other women and girls. Her cross-examination continues when the trial resumes on Monday.
