Maria Sharapova to enter Wimbledon qualifying tournament

Maria Sharapova to enter Wimbledon qualifying tournament”

"Because of my improved ranking after the first three tournaments of my return, I will also be playing.in Roehampton, and will not be requesting a wildcard", said Sharapova, who has received a wildcard for the Wimbledon warmup event in Birmingham.

The Russian, a two-time champion at Roland Garros, was informed that her request for entry into the forthcoming grand slam following her recent return from a drugs ban had been rejected on Tuesday.

The French Open draw was already missing one of its biggest stars as the pregnant Serena Williams takes time out before the birth of her first child.

Eddie Jones: Group of death will help England
We will get to understand each other a bit more over the next two years before we play here in 2019. Noves, by contrast, pulled few punches as he looked ahead to the 2019 tournament in Japan .

Sharapova returned from her doping ban on April 26 but relied on wildcards to get into tournaments because her world ranking points expired while she was banned.

Maria Sharapova has agreed a two-year deal with the Lawn Tennis Association to play at Birmingham's Aegon Classic.

Wimbledon qualifying provides 16 main draw places for men and 12 for women if they win through three rounds. "I am so grateful and excited to be playing at this event again!"

Brad Grey, former Paramount CEO dead at 59
He is survived by his wife, Cassandra Grey, their son, and three children from a previous marriage. Grey stepped down at Paramount in February after leading the studio for 12 years.

Sharapova was denied a wild card for the French Open this week, in a move which was questioned by WTA chief Steve Simon who said: "I don't agree with the basis for the decision put forward by the FFT". Wimbledon donates a large share of its profits to the LTA but the grand slam oversees its own tournament independently of the governing body.

All England Club chairman Philip Brook said on May 3: "We will wait and see whether Maria applies for a wild card and, if so, we will consider the case alongside everyone else's". Wimbledon's website states wild cards are typically offered "on the basis of past performance at Wimbledon or to increase British interest".

Her ban was later reduced to 15-months following a successful appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The battery will be of 3,200 mAh and not the original 3,500 mAh that was on the device before it was recalled. The Android 7.0 Nougat update started in India with Samsung Galaxy S6 & S6 Edge devices last month.

There had been question marks over whether she would even be fit enough to take part at Wimbledon after retiring against Mirjana Lucic-Baroni in Rome but her acceptance of the wildcard to the event in Edgbaston, which starts on June 17, is a sign that the injury is not serious.
