Iran slams US arms deal with Saudi 'terrorists'

Iran slams US arms deal with Saudi 'terrorists'”

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has warned his U.S. counterpart, Donald Trump, that regional stability can not be achieved without Tehran's help. He said America is prepared to stand with them but the region can not wait for American power to crush the enemy.

Iran has always been at the forefront of combating terrorism and the image of Iran is totally clear to the world, he said, reiterating that Iran has never sought nuclear weapons as International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has on several occasions verified peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program.

It is time for the United States to lift its remaining sanctions on Iran, not try and renege on the nuclear deal.

One of the first world leaders to congratulate Rouhani was Iran's ally, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, who said he looked forward to cooperating "to strengthen the security and stability of both countries, the region and the world".

On Friday, the Iranian Regime announced that Hassan Rouhani had won a second term in the elections but, according to a political analyst, these elections do not represent the will of the people, rather the failures of Iran's supreme leader to achieve the result he wanted.

Lib Dems make opposition to Brexit manifesto priority
At his manifesto launch in East London tonight Lib Dem leader Tim Farron will also unveil their flagship rent-to-own initiative. Here are eight policies which will make life easier for young people and help them to get on in life.

His comments followed fierce critism from the U.S. president during visits to Saudi Arabia and Israel.

The Trump administration agreed last week to roll over sanctions waivers on Iran's oil industry and crude sales.

French carmakers PSA PEUP.PA and Renault RENA.PA are taking advantage of their lack of US operations by piling into a resurgent Iranian market that is still off-limits to rivals fearful that Trump's administration will impose sanctions.

Voskanyan recalled that during a visit to Armenia in 2016 December, Rouhani said that Iran regards Armenia as the most important country of a project created to link the Persian Gulf to the Black Sea.

In response to the recent billion-dollar deals signed between Trump and the Saudi government, Rouhani said, "You can't solve terrorism just by giving your people's money to a superpower". President Rouhani won 23.5 million of Iran's total 41 million votes, his next nearest rival winning only 15.8 million votes.

"The problem is that the Americans do not know our region and those who advise USA officials are misleading them", he added.

"Our missiles are for peace, not for attack", he added.

As this move was considered a major betrayal, Saudis welcomed President Trump's hardline stance on Iran which he highlighted in his speech at the Summit with more than 50 Arab and Islamic countries.

Hassan Rouhani, who was reelected president in the May 19 presidential election, met on Tuesday with Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
