Trump has embraced autocratic leaders without hesitation

Turkey's main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) has approached the Council of State - the highest administrative court in Turkey - in Ankara amid a row over Sunday's constitutional referendum, a lawyer from the party said on Friday, Anadolu Agency reports.

Erdogan stressed that Turkish Supreme Election Board's (YSK) decision to reject referendum annulment requests filed by a number of opposition parties and some ordinary citizens is the final one and can not be challenged by any other institution.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Thursday he is to travel to Washington on May 16-17 to meet USA counterpart Donald Trump, the first meeting since Trump's inauguration, Reuters reports.

In the statement, Tezcan urged the results not to be finalised until the case was concluded and said the party's lawyer would deliver the paperwork to the court later on Friday afternoon.

PM Binali Yildirim earlier this week called on the CHP to respect the outcome of the popular vote.

"I hope and pray that this tete-a-tete meeting in the United States in May will lay the foundation for a stronger cooperation". On April 19, he added that making an appeal against the referendum result was a legitimate practice but calling people to the streets to protest was not right.

Spurs no longer the underdogs, says Chelsea's Conte
I think this is the right moment (for them)". "They are a great team and for the second year in a row are fighting for the title". Marcos Alonso is likely to return though after pulling out of the starting line-up at Old Trafford with an illness.

HDP deputy chairman Mithat Sancar said the vote was also undermined by the fact that the campaign was held under emergency rule while the party's co-leaders were under arrest, that its candidates for polling station monitors had been rejected, and the "Yes" campaign had benefited from state resources. "It is not right to correct the decision of the people by complaining to the courts.

This is very critical and important", Kart said. Opposition parties have complained of a series of irregularities, particularly an electoral board decision to accept ballots without official stamps, as required by Turkish law.

Mosul op has displaced almost half a million
Iraqi police say Islamic State militants also are using suicide bombers on motorcycles to navigate the Old City's narrow streets. In addition to parts of western Mosul , IS also holds part of Iraq's Kirkuk province as well as areas in the country's west.

Voters narrowly approved a set of constitutional reforms that will transform the country from a parliamentary democracy into a presidential republic, concentrating power in the hands of Erdo─čan, who will be able to run for two more terms and potentially govern until 2029. Ataturk's grandiose mausoleum in Ankara draws foreign dignitaries, tourists with selfie sticks and schoolchildren who gaze at honor guards in steel helmets.
