Protesters Step Up Calls For Trump To Release His Tax Returns”

Tax Day 2017 won't bring the release of President Trump's 2016 tax returns.

"I did what was an nearly an impossible thing to do for a Republican-easily won the Electoral College!"

Trump has refused to release his tax returns, breaking with decades of precedent by arguing he would not release them while those returns are under audit, though there is nothing legally preventing him from doing so. In West Palm Beach, some of those marching said they'd taken part in protests nearly every weekend since Trump was sworn in.

"Someone should look into who paid for the small organized rallies yesterday".

And Saturday's nationwide protests on Saturday, April 15 - typically tax day, although not this year - spurred Trump's presidential motorcade to avoid protesters in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Coach Ron Rivera also has said that the former Purdue star was "too important of a player" for Carolina not to re-sign. Short notched just six sacks last fall, but remained a key presence on the team's defensive line.

Thousands of people marched through Manhattan and several other cities in the United States on Saturday, demanding President Donald Trump to release his tax returns. Organizations around the country chose to use this Tax Day and turn it into a nationwide Rally.

The demonstrations, organised by a loose coalition of labour and left-leaning groups with various economic agendas, are meant to focus on Trump's refusal to disclose his tax-paying history, something his predecessors in the White House have done for more than 40 years. When pressed on the issue, he said he doesn't think most Americans care.

Ilene Singh said she and her friend, Geraldine Markowitz, took a bus from New Jersey to join the crowd and "say we care" about Trump's taxes.

Two of the biggest tax marches took place in NY and Los Angeles, with each drawing about 5,000 people, according to estimates by Reuters reporters.

"We are taking the gloves off to say knock off the secrecy Mr. President", said Senator Ron Wyden of OR, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Finance Committee, which would play a leading role in tax reform measures being considered in Congress.

Morano was unable to attend as she had been bed-bound for four years at the time, instead receiving visitors at her home. The world's oldest person has today died at the age of 117. "When I first knew her she used to eat three eggs a day".

In Berkeley, California, police arrested at least 20 people at unrelated gatherings of about 200 pro- and anti-Trump people in a park after fist fighting erupted.

Critics have raised questions about what Trump's tax returns say about his net worth and about his various business ties. "It's a routine one that continues", White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Monday.

More than 100 similar marches are scheduled across the country on Saturday. The Oregon Democrat says the people have "a basic right to know whether the president pays his fair share".

"I'm wondering if you'll take the initiative to have him release those returns so we can see what kinds of connections he has with different countries around the world", one attendee asked.

And in many ways the showdown had been pre-ordained, the final chapter in years of partisan warfare over judicial nominees. McConnell told reporters Friday he viewed it as "the most consequential decision I've ever been involved in".
