North Korea flaunts long-range missiles in massive parade

North Korea has celebrated the 105th anniversary of the birthday of Kim Il-sung, its founding president, with an huge military parade - and an escalation of rhetoric.

Moreover, the North has taken the recent deployment of a USA naval strike group to the region as grounds for its continued testing of nuclear and missile weapons technologies.

Addressing crowds at the Day of the Sun parade, Kim Jong-un said: "If the United States wages reckless provocation against us, our revolutionary power will instantly counter with annihilating strike, and we will respond to full-out war with full-out war and to nuclear war with our style of nuclear strike warfare".

Anthony isn't an All-NBA-level talent anymore, but he still has a massive contract, with two years and $53 million remaining. While Anthony can confound Jackson by refusing to leave, Porzingis could be the one to topple Jackson by refusing to stay.

During a speech at the parade, a high-ranking North Korean official blamed the Trump administration for heightened tensions on the Korean peninsula, saying North Korea will respond with "all-out war and a nuclear war" if attacked.

And on the same day, a top North Korean official offered a warning to the USA, accusing president Trump of "creating a war situation".

For outside military analysts, though, the highlight is the weaponry that the North puts on display.

She said Villalobos and Banegas were not gang members themselves, and said the attack may have been directed at someone else. The teens, who were best friends, were killed by "swinging baseball bats and machetes" in a suspected revenge attack.

The Pukkuksong submarine-launched ballistic missiles (SLBM) were also on parade. Analysts say the missiles could one day be capable of hitting targets as far as the continental United States, although North Korea has yet to flight test them.

Meanwhile, Vice President Pence will travel Sunday to South Korea.

The display included submarine-launched ballistic missiles, believed to be the same type of missile North Korea fired from land in February.

Two mobile canisters possibly containing ICMBs larger than anything North Korea has ever produced were shown, indicating North Korea may be working toward solid-fuel, canisterized ICBMs. An official from South Korea's Defence Ministry could not immediately confirm whether any of the rockets paraded represented a new type of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM), the Associated Press reported. Recent satellite imagery suggests the country could conduct another underground nuclear test at any time. The North also past year launched a long-range rocket that put a satellite into orbit, which Washington, Seoul and others saw as a banned test of missile technology.
