North Korea fired medium-range ballistic missile

North Korea fired medium-range ballistic missileā€

"If we push the button, the bombs will be fired and reduce the U.S.to ashes", an editorial in the ruling Workers' Party newspaper the Rodong Sinmun said on Wednesday. It uses solid fuel already loaded inside the missile, which would shorten launch preparation times, boost the weapon's mobility and make it harder for outsiders to detect the signs of its liftoff.

"Then, next month when a new (South Korean) government gets under way, North Korea is expected to try to turn the situation around into a phase of appeasement and, use its moratorium of nuclear and ballistic missile tests to find middle ground with South Korea and the United States", Cheong said.

The launch was North Korea's latest in a long series of missile and nuclear tests that have accelerated in their variation and intensity over the last two years. The missile launched in February flew about 500 kilometers (310 miles), but it wasn't immediately clear if the shorter distance meant Wednesday's launch was a failure.

South Korean officials said McMaster spoke with his counterpart in Seoul, Kim Kwan-jin, Thursday morning to discuss the North's missile launch and the Trump-Xi summit.

Lost Village , costing a reported $60 million to make, will have to do huge business overseas if Sony gets its wish. Forecasts ranged from $14.5 million at BoxOfficePro to $19.1 million at Hollywood Stock Exchange.

A press statement agreed to by all 15 members expresses "utmost concern" at North Korea's "highly destabilizing behaviour and flagrant and provocative defiance of the Security Council" by conducting the latest launch less than three weeks after the previous test.

As well as a growing list of ballistic missile launches, North Korea has also conducted two nuclear weapons tests since January 2016. North Korea's state media has also said the world will soon witness what it calls "eventful successes" the country achieves in the space development.

On Tuesday, North Korea managed to launch a ballistic missile off the coast of the Korean Peninsula, which fell into the Sea of Japan.

North Korea is pushing hard to upgrade its weapons systems to cope with what it calls USA hostility.

A senior White House official told reporters on Tuesday that "the clock has now run out, and all options are on the table", according to a report by CNN.

From previous year, North Korea took the rare step of publicising images of its missile equipment tests, convincing analysts that Pyongyang's banned programme was further along toward successfully testing an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) than first thought. The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) determined the missile launch from North Korea did not pose a threat to North America. North Korea sees the drills as an invasion rehearsal.

South Korea and the United States say the sole goal of the advanced THAAD system is to defend against missile launches from North Korea.
