NFL prospect denies rape report made to police; no charges

Gareon Conley, a Massillon Washington High School graduate and Ohio State University standout cornerback, is identified in a police report filed by a woman who said he raped her in a Cleveland hotel.

A police report Tuesday reveals that the victim told authorities Conley propositioned her for sex and she refused, but agreed to watch another couple in the room. Conley's attorney, Kevin Spellacy, told WOIO-TV in Cleveland that the allegations are "ludicrous and ridiculous".

According to a police report obtained by USA TODAY Sports, the incident took place early in the morning of April 9 at the Westin Hotel in downtown Cleveland. She said she decided not to stay with her friends and went with Conley back to his room.

500-up Messi silences Bernabeu
However, Real Madrid still have a crucial game in hand where they can again surge to the top of the points table. Lionel Messi silences Santiago Bernabeu with injury-time victor in El Clasico.

"According to the report, the woman told police she wanted to go home, and her dignity was stripped from her in a (matter) of minutes".

Police spokeswoman Jennifer Ciaccia says investigators are making arrangements to interview Conley, one of the top defensive prospects in the upcoming National Football League draft.

For the second year in a row, a first-round prospect has found himself involved in a potentially serious criminal situation less than a week before the NFL Draft.

PPG Makes 'Last Invitation' to Dutch Rival Akzo
Akzo has faced pressure to sell itself from a group of shareholders led by Paul Singer's Elliott Management. Akzo Nobel , which bought ICI in 2008, employs 3,500 staff while PPG has 10 manufacturing and RD sites.

It was recently reported that the Eagles "love" Conley and would be a likely candidate to nab him in the draft. Conley was not there when police arrived. Conley's friends denied the woman's accusations, and said she was just upset they kicked her out of their hotel room. The NFL Draft begins Thursday night in Philadelphia, barely more than 48 hours from this news breaking.

According to 92.3 the Fan in Cleveland, the alleged victim was taken to Metro Hospital where rape kit evidence was taken, but police were unsuccessful in their attempts to interview the woman. Police later spoke to two witnesses who were in Conley's room, and one of them claimed that Conley "never touched" the woman and added that she "got mad because she got kicked out of the room". A short time later, the victim told police Conley grabbed her and raped her. [The alleged victim] said she did not want to have a foursome.
