Google Could Build An Ad Blocker Into Chrome

Google Could Build An Ad Blocker Into Chromeā€¯

Those types of ads include pop-up ads, autoplay videos, and what are known as prestitial ads, or those ads that are often fullscreen and show up before you're taken to the homepage or desired website.

It is odd that Google, a company which earns a significant portion of their revenue via online advertising would like to introduce an ad-blocking feature in their own browser.

The report says "people familiar with the plans" describe the move as a "defensive" one.

Massive US bomb death toll rises to 94
According to him, the bombing was necessary because some of the tunnels were as deep as 40 meters and extremely hard to penetrate. The massive bomb terrified villagers 20 miles away across the border in Pakistan with a blast they described as earsplitting.

It is said that Google's approach would focus on unacceptable ad types that violate the recently-released list of ad standards. However, this move will affect Google online revenue in vast. You can read it here.

This may be a warning bell for site owners who 'might be required to ensure all of their ads meet the standards, or could see all advertising across their sites blocked in Chrome.' Once implemented, the ad-block feature will be made compatible for both the desktop and mobile versions of Chrome.

If Google were to go with a single-ad-blocking feature rather than something that blocks all the ads on a website, it could prove to be a successful compromise between all-ads and no-ads. This could be muscle flexing by Google, considering a major portion of web traffic comes via Google Chrome, this might lead to more advertisers moving on to Adsense. The Journal reported that the feature could block all ads on any sites that contain offending ads.

Dramatic end to historic Milan derby
Inter defender Gary Medel cleared the ball out of the goal, but goalline technology showed that it had just crossed the line first.

While ad-blockers may be the most popular extensions for Chrome on the desktop or your Chromebook, the Android app has been left out of the picture.

Google is reportedly working on an ad blocker.

Many consumers state they use ad-blockers to get rid of annoying ads that ruin the Web surfing experience, but that they wouldn't be opposed to ads that don't interfere. What this means for Chrome's rumored built-in ad blocker is that it will just be selective about what ads can or cannot be displayed, and that it won't be completely blocking ads like current ad blockers.

Thunder's Westbrook focused on playoffs, not historic season
Anthony isn't an All-NBA-level talent anymore, but he still has a massive contract, with two years and $53 million remaining. While Anthony can confound Jackson by refusing to leave, Porzingis could be the one to topple Jackson by refusing to stay.
