Funeral for Facebook shooting victim scheduled in Ohio

Stephens had been added to the FBI Most Wanted list and after a nationwide manhunt, PSPD says officers, responding to a tip, found Stephens around 11 AM Tuesday in Erie, Pennsylvania.

"As the vehicle was spinning out of control from the PIT maneuver, Stephens pulled a pistol and shot himself in the head", troopers wrote.

Stephens took a video of himself shooting 74-year-old Robert Godwin in the street as he walked home from Easter meal with his children.

CLEVELAND (AP) - A gun range owner says the suspect in a random Cleveland killing that was recorded and posted to Facebook had shot at his facility, and video shows he was warned for breaking rules by practicing "rapid fire".

"I think the people on social media kind of know the power and harm it can do", Williams said.

In the footage Stephens pulls over in a vehicle on a street in Cleveland as he says: "Find me somebody to kill, gonna kill this guy right here".

Facebook said Stephens' account was suspended within 23 minutes of the murder video being reported, but admitted it needs to "do better".

On Monday evening, Facebook announced that it was launching a review for reporting harmful content following the killing. Two cars were in front of his, and police were on the way by the time Stephens reached the pickup window. The behavioral health agency where he worked said an extensive background check before he was hired turned up nothing worrisome.

Facebook wasn't made aware of a live video containing Stephens' confession until after it had ended, Osofsky said.

Stephens says the name of a woman, whom Godwin does not seem to recognise.

Stephens allegedly filmed himself committing the murder and published the video on Facebook along with another video in which he claims to have previously murdered an additional 13 people.

Stephens' vehicle sustained minor damage after a trooper couldn't stop in time and hit the auto, but no injuries to law enforcement were reported. She said even after they parted she was still trying to get him to reach out for help with a gambling habit.

"We have closure in regards to the search for Steve Stephens", Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson said during an April 18 press conference, according to WLTX.
