Adrian Peterson to visit Patriots on Monday

Adrian Peterson to visit Patriots on Mondayā€¯

Adrian Peterson is set to meet with the defending Super Bowl champions.

After failing to secure a deal in the early period of National Football League free agency, running back Adrian Peterson will reportedly continue his tour of possible destinations for next season in an intriguing location: New England.

The visit is Peterson's second since the Vikings released him March 9.

Peterson, 32, spent the first 10 years of his career with the Vikings, in which he rushed for over 1000 yards in seven of his ten seasons.

Rose to miss remainder of season
New York Knicks guard Derrick Rose will miss the rest of the season after suffering a torn meniscus, the Knicks confirmed Sunday. A three-time All-Star, Rose has career averages of 19.5 points and 6.0 assists while playing 470 of a possible 722 games.

He said he let the Patriots coaching staff know right after the season concluded with the Pats' fifth Super Bowl title that he'd be looking elsewhere.

Adrian Peterson reportedly is visiting the Patriots on Monday.

Peterson, 32, played just three games last season because of a torn meniscus suffered on September 18.

While Peterson is a great fit for New England, there's no guarantee he will like it.

Nationwide Recall For Mylan's EpiPen Over Potential Defect
So far, the USA recall covers 13 EpiPen lots distributed from December 17, 2015, to July 1, 2016. This company also makes a Generic EpiPen that is not included in the recall, according to ABC 15.

Peterson is a free agent and has been on the market since free agency began early last month.

He logged 37 carries for 72 yards without a score. With team owner Robert Kraft last week maintaining his strong stance against domestic violence abusers, with the implication Oklahoma running back Joe Mixon was off the table draft-wise, it's interesting if Peterson would even be allowed in, if it got that far.

The Patriots don't have an every down power back, per se, but do have a good complement of backs in Dion Lewis, James White, Rex Burkhead and D.J. Foster.

The state must also hold an extra $10 million in reserve, in case the repairs end up being more expensive than anticipated. Former President Barack Obama signed off on the bipartisan funding bill shortly before leaving office a year ago .
