Some of these storms may be strong to severe in nature this afternoon and this evening, and will be capable of producing large hail and damaging winds.

It appears areas south in I-40 will end up with a better chance for damaging storms on Tuesday.

During a briefing this morning with local emergency management officials, weather service meteorologists said high winds and hail are the most likely impacts from the afternoon supercell, but there is a lesser threat for tornadoes.
