Obama admin left intelligence trail on Trump/Russia contacts

In the final days of Barack Obama's presidency, officials in the administration worked quickly and quietly to preserve intelligence related to Russia's connection to Donald Trump's campaign and it's interference in the US election, according to The New York Times.

On Wednesday night, the House committee released a bipartisan statement outlining the scope of its investigation to include Russian cyber activity and other "active measures" directed against the USA and counterintelligence concerns related to Russia and the 2016 US election.

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), chairman of the United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, warned reporters on Thursday that they could find themselves under investigation if they continued to ask questions about Attorney General Jeff Sessions' ties to Russian Federation.

American law enforcement and intelligence agencies intercepted the communications around the same time they were discovering evidence Russian Federation was trying to disrupt the presidential election by hacking into the Democratic National Committee.

MARK WARNER: Do you promise to fully and completely cooperate with the committee's investigation of the Russian election hacking, including by turning over all requested IC cables, intelligence products and other materials to the committee as promptly as possible? American intelligence agencies have also intercepted Russian communiqu├ęs that discussed contacts with Trump associates.

Dr. Fate Added To The Injustice 2 Character Roster
He's even got a bit of a trap spell that stops in the middle of the battlefield to let him control distance with the opponent. It's still unclear which incarnation of Doctor Fate will be seen in Injustice 2 , but it could very well be Kent Nelson.

There is a palpable fear in USA intelligence of being marginalized or pushed out as retaliation for assessing Russia's interference in the 2016 election for Trump's benefit.

During a long-awaited confirmation hearing to make Dan Coats, until recently an amiable GOP senator from IN, the next director of national intelligence (DNI), several senators wondered whether Coats possesses the grit and the influence to represent the intelligence agencies amid an ongoing row with the White House over Russian Federation and concern over the DNI's place IN the national-security firmament. Obama's officials sought to secretly preserve evidence of Russian interference, a report says.

JAMES LANKFORD: You're one of the nicest people I've ever met.

Currently, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and committees in both chambers of Congress are conducting their own probes into Russia's involvement in the USA election and, more specifically, the country's connection to the Trump campaign.

Marie Collins Resigns From Vatican Panel
But Mrs Collins accepted an invitation from Cardinal O'Malley to continue to work with the comission in an educational role. The only sex abuse survivor active on the pope's commission on abuse has dropped out.

Rep. Devin Nunes, California Republican, told reporters on February 27 that "as of right now, of the initial inquiries I've made to the appropriate agencies, I don't have any evidence".

Allegations about Russian influence in the election, and claims that figures close to the Trump team met with Russian officials, dogged Trump's campaign throughout much of a year ago.

The FBI is also investigating alleged ties between the Trump campaign and Russian Federation.

The Politico piece quoted the senior official from the Obama White House saying, "It seems pretty clear that [former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn] was not a rogue here".
