Facebook Weather Updates Introduced on App and Website

Located in the Facebook app's ever-expanding "more" menu bar, next to other tabs including "events", "pages", and "Moments", the weather feature is automatically set to your current location.

The heading of the section includes doodles that change depending on the weather, alongside the current temperature, high and low estimates for the day, and a one-to-three sentence summation of the present forecast.

Milo Yiannopoulos says he's coming back to Berkeley
Reich: I was there for part of last night and I know what I saw and those people were not Berkeley students. UC Berkeley officials condemned the violence of the protests the following day.

As TechCrunch notes, Facebook rolled out "weather greetings" in the News Feed a year ago, giving users a basic weather report for their city as soon as they logged in. Facebook's weather data is supplied by The Weather Company's application programming interface, a link to its website can also be found at the bottom of the feature.

"Notifications and the more detailed greetings are rolling out for tests now, with all these updates being widely available by the end of the month", says the company. Offering weather information inside the Facebook mobile app will keep users from leaving it for a dedicated weather app if they want to know whether to carry an umbrella with them. Whether you're trying to check (real) news or looking for help in a disaster, Facebook is making it possible for you to do all those while staying within the comfy confines of its social network. Clicking a "See more weather info" button will take you to Weather.com for more details. The feature was pretty simple and involved a weather update that appeared on your news feed every morning.

Smokeless Tobacco Products Recalled
Altria spokesman Steve Callahan said "We appreciate our consumers' patience and loyalty while we work through this matter". Wholesalers and retailers are being instructed by the company to separate the recalled products from their inventories.

You can switch between your saved locations via the settings tab. Though given the sometimes capricious nature of the Facebook feed, you might not always find the information when you need it.

The Weather section now defaults to your location. Users can also select whether they want to see the forecast in Celsius or Fahrenheit (as shown in the image below).
