Dylann Roof Went to Another AME Church after the Charleston Shooting”

According to newly released court documents, convicted Charleston church shooter Dylann Roof traveled to a second AME church after killing nine people at Emanuel AME but was too exhausted to continue shooting.

After the June 17, 2015 attack that left nine black parishioners dead, Roof left Mother Emanuel and traveled to the Branch AME Church according to ABC News affiliate WCIV, which cited Global Positioning System data that was not presented during his trial.

Roof carried out his attack at Emanuel AME Church on Wednesday night, June 17, 2015.

Prosecutors were responding to a motion filed earlier this month by Roof's lawyers, who are seeking to throw out his death sentence in favor of a life prison term by targeting the charges eligible for capital punishment.

He said Wednesday that it's actually a serious thought. "There's a few races I'd like to win", he said. The 42-year-old Earnhardt has 26 Cup victories to his credit.

Prosecutors argue that this shows Roof was contemplating another attack, but defense attorneys have said there is no evidence of this.

Convicted killer Dylann Roof visited a second black church after killing nine people in a Charleston, S.C., church in 2015, according to court records.

Prosecutors say he had driven past Branch AME numerous times before the shooting.

Global Positioning System information from Dylann Roof's auto reveals a chilling detail: He stopped at a second SC church after his massacre, reports ABC affiliate WCIV.

Roof was sentenced to death in January after a jury convicted him of all 33 federal charges.

The court documents also state that Roof had admitted to a coworker that he was racist and frequently referenced Adolf Hitler.

Newly unsealed documents in Roof's federal case cite Global Positioning System data that was not presented in his trial.
