Latest Democratic Email Scandal Outed by Russian Hackers

Latest Democratic Email Scandal Outed by Russian Hackers”

Seth Alexander of Gainesville, Florida, who was wearing a Sanders T-shirt, started a "Shame!" chant as Wasserman Schultz spoke.

The fallout of the scandal has resulted the resignation DNC Chairperson Debbie Wasserman Schultz, as well as intense protests by Sanders supporters upon the opening of the Democratic National Convention.

Though his supporters were urged to abstain from protesting on the floor, many of them have become visibly worked up on social media following the controversial email leaks.

He said he planned to boo Wasserman Schultz.

CEO at Democratic National Committee resigns
The changes at the DNC come as the Clinton campaign is moving to take greater control of party headquarters in Washington and in states across the country.

Wasserman Schultz said she plans to step down at the end of this week's convention, though it remains to be seen whether she's allowed to stay that long.

"We don't need a situation where we blatantly put it in the face of Sanders supporters after what's happened, that we will continue to act like this didn't happen", said state Representative David Bowen of Milwaukee, a Sanders delegate.

Was Ms. Wasserman Schultz the instigator of the operation, or was she merely a tool manipulated by others?

The source of the leak has not been revealed, though Hillary Clinton's campaign manager, Robby Mook, said on ABC News' "This Week With George Stephanopoulos" on Sunday that he believes the Russians were instrumental in it. Still, it is a bit awkward that the party boss, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, quit her job just one day before taking up the convention gavel. Signs carried messages such as "Never Hillary" and even in one case "Just go to jail, Hillary", an echo of the Republicans' "Lock her up". Sanders to hand Hillary Clinton the nomination. Nepali Congress, CPN-Maoist Centre begin preparations to form new govt.
A change in government is nothing new in Nepal, with Oli the eighth prime minister in the past 10 years. Nepal will elect a new prime minister through a parliamentary vote on Wednesday.

While her ouster was a major victory for Sanders, it wasn't enough to ease the frustration of his supporters.

And by buttressing the companion charge that Clinton and her allies will do anything to win, the email episode threatened to alienate a significant number of people who should be voting Democratic. The chairwoman is expected to play a neutral role in the primary campaign as the candidates battle it out.

Sanders' speech focused on the products of his "revolution" and uniting the party. "She does not deserve to be at this convention", Alexander said.

Efforts to promote party togetherness were not helped by the publication last week of thousands of hacked emails, some of which suggested the DNC was favoring Clinton during the primary season.
